Idle and timing
I have a 99 auto integra gs b18b1 stock with 123000 miles. Recently a shop did my timing and water pump replacement. Due to my high mileage I don't think they set it correctly.
Parts changed:
Timing water pump (might not be a good job done)
Fuel pump
Fuel filter
Main relay
Adjustable fpr with gauge
Whole distributor from 1auto oem replacement
Spark plug wires from summit racing
Oil changes evey 3500 miles.
Problems:
When cold starts right up but as car warms up idle fluctuates 900 and drops to 200 and just does that forever if I were to keep the car on.
Another is problem is that after driving the car turn it off and I want to start it back up car cranks but doesn't turn over fuel pump turns on all the fpr and gauge is reading correct numbers.
Also need to adjust my valves.
But other then the valves and timing could there be any other reason? Sensors parts?
Thank you for viewing and all suggestions will greatly help thank you

Re: Idle and timing
Distributor and plug wires are less than a week old.
My dad mention to check the spark plug gap, something to do with gapping the plug. Not sure what he means.

Re: Idle and timing
Hey guys thanks for all the info but i fixed my car and its running like new.
The problem was the spark plug gap which is really important. Those of you that buy plugs that say pre gap. ITS A LIE!!!! To test the gap just buy a feeler gauge for 8 bucks. SO any way my car has a B18B1, plug gap shud be at .39 - .43 if i recall. And plugs were pre gap at .44 , when i tested the plugs they were actually .85 WOW!!! So this is why my car had hard time starting idle sucked and i was eating up too much gas.
Now my car runs so smooth idle just stays in one place.
After all the researching and parts. All it took was info form the old man a simple $10 job.
I just want to share the info i got to help others out there. Remember to gap your plugs you'll see a improvement in motor response and gas mileage.
Good luck to you all.
