What a turbo does is it installed where your header is. There is a special header that takes its place called a "turbo Manifold" is mounted on the exhaust side of the turbo. There are 2 parts of a turbo; an exhaust side and compressor side. The exhaust gases that are expelled from the motor go through the turbo manifold which then turn's the turbine and out the downpipe. As that turns the compressor side is turning aswell sucking in outside air and thus forcing cooler outside air in through intercooler piping and travels through the intercooler; which its purpose is to make the forced air cooler. As its then pushed through the intercooler it goes through more intercooler piping which then enters your throttlebody and produces more power. As the throttlebody closes the air trapped inside the piping is release through a blow off valve which is mounted on the piping. (there are more factors into making power then just forced air per-say, there is a nessesity for more fuel also) but this is just a relative idea of how it works. I suggest you read up on turbocharging before you try to get something installed on your vehicle. Remember don't go cheap on parts, it can be a money pit if you don't know what your getting into. Get good parts once, and not replace twice! Good luck!

Sounds like you have tons of research to do before you even attempt to boost your car. Perhaps search before posting?
