h22a4 swap into 91 db1
Hey so i got a 1991 teg gs model trim is db1, currently it has the b18a1 in there but i found a h22a4 from a lude, the lude is probably a 2001 not sure, i can get the full swap for $900. Engine trans ecu harness ect all included! How easy is this swap going to be? I have looked all over hondatech but cant find anything for my specific swap. Can i just use the ecu and wiring harness from the lude and drop it all in there? I am not using the car for anything right now so i have alot of time for this swap.

It will not be a "plug and play", you will use the engine harness and the ECU/ECM, but mods will be needed for plugging in the engine harness to the Integra harness the same goes for the ECU/ECM.
BTW will be driving to the Peg on Sat. the 7th, how is the weather in Winterpeg? 94

-13 C, not too bad and only 20cm of snow, that's not bad at all, I am renting a FWD car, [not going to try and drive my 89 Chry Dynasty winter car] and my 94RS is already tucked away for the winter, I did live in Winnipeg for 30 years so I am not that worried.
I am actually going to Portage la Prairie to do some custom wiring on a hot rod, replacing the complete harness and doing a wire tuck, but I have family in WPG so will spend the nights there.
I am pretty sure you will find the motor mounts you need and adapter harness, [jumper] you need for the ECU/ECM, you will also have to convert to a hydro clutch system for the transmission, but kits for that should not be a problem to find. 94

As far as wiring harness jumper, are we talking about a obd2 to obd1 jumper here and if so how do i know which one is right? Obd2a or obd2b?? I get confused easily when it comes to ecus and stuff like that! Lol

So if i got the entire clutch system from that prelude and put it in my teg that would be a hydro clutcch then woyldnt it be? The only problem would then be the differnece in length from clutch pedal to trans right?!

Re: h22a4 swap into 91 db1
H2b might fit better, but sounds like the full swap might be more cost effective.
Check out explicitspeed for their mounts and conversion parts for the hydro clutch.
I would double check that the engine is not from an SH model, with the big ATTS unit on the back of the block, as the system would be useless weight in another car, and way to much of a pain to make work in a non-SH equipped car.

http://www.ebay.ca/itm/331031058304?...84.m1423.l2649
btw do you have any recomends as to which mounts hardness i should use?? eg 75 85 95? as much as ive heard people say 85 but i want to know what you guys think!
also the engine doesnt come with a exhaust header and downpipe so i found this:
http://www.ebay.ca/itm/Prelude-H22-H...vxp=mtr&_uhb=1
i dont know anything about fdastwayracer...
