Default gsr cel code 8?

My car is throwing code 8 which is tdc sensor. Does this mean i need a new distributor?
96 integra gsr. My car is eating lots of gas now like 120 miles for a full tank. Use to be around
280-330 miles for full tank.

its about your distributor but it could be your connection has gone bad. did measure the resistance on your 8P connector?

im also having the exact problem as you but i have a 95 gsr. i just need someone who can measure mines correctly because i dont know how. i have the helms manual

Code 8 Top dead center sensor

you could fix it buy rebuilding the dizzy, but its not easy. get one index card and space the sensors inside of it, using the index card. i cant remember if it the middle one or not, there's 3 in all. I had a code 8 on my gsr before too. and its almost the same thing. and if it doesn't fix your problem, just buy a new dizzy.

hope this helps

ehh.. just saw yours is a 96. mine is a 95. but its still your dizzy. and the above should still help. just make sure you get the spacing right. oh and if you strip the screws inside the dizzy(very easy to do!) uses wire cutters on the side to break them loose.
