Fans not working 1991 LS
For some reason my fans stopped working. First one stopped working then when I turned off the car the other one stayed on. So I took out the fuse to make it stop so it didn't drain my battery. Put it back in and now my fans won't turn on. Why? Kinda new to hondas.

Update: let car idle for about 10 minutes. Got hot. Turned car off and one fan started going. Tried turning it back on and as soon as I turn the car on the fan stops. Why?
update 2: fan never turned off. Had to take out the fuse to turn it off.

Put the fuse back in and leave it be. So long as the fan turns off within 15-minutes, what you see is NORMAL.
On US models, the rad fan is supposed to run for a while with the engine off if the oil temperature is above a certain threshold.

Re: Fans not working 1991 LS
The fans, [USDM] are controled by the Rad Fan Control Module, along with the A/C switch for the drivers side, [condensor] fan and the ECT switch for the pass. side, [rad] fan.
It is normal for a fan to run when ign. is turned off, [if engine oil is hot] but only for a few min.
It sounds like you may have a few problems.
I would test the fan that does not work, supply power and ground directly to it, if it works...
Unplug the ECT switch and jump the two pins in the plug, [black lead and yellow/green lead], if fan turns on, replace the switch, if not....
Check fuse 21 - 15A, [hot in run] and fuse 12 - 15A, [hot at all times] in under dash fuse box, if good, test for power on the black/yellow lead at the rad fan relay, if good...
Unplug the relay and jump the ground pin, [black lead] and the relays output lead [blue lead], if fan works, replace relay.
To test for fan running after ign. is off, unplug the Engine Oil Temperature Switch, [black lead and green/white lead, if fan no longer turns on after ign. is turned off, replace EOTS, if it still turns on, replace the Rad Fan Control Module.
Or you can go Canadian, CDM G2s do not have the EOTS or the RFCM. 94
