Contemplating building my LS or buying type r
Ive had my 00' LS for about 7 years now I love the car but I want more power.I was thinking of going ls vtec route but its gonna cost me a good 4k for a well built motor plus I still need to get a b16 trans.Or I can just get a type r and do absolutley nothing to it other than basic bolt ons. When I get back from depolyment I plan on either building my LS or saying goodbye to it and get an R.I really dont know what to do.What would you guys do?

here's some food for thought, a type R would hold it's value much better than a fixed up or built up LS. If you have the 4G to spend, sell the LS and get an R.
With that said, an integra type r isn't meant for power. there are many other cars in the price range that make more power.

Are you talking about actually buying a legit type r integra or swapping a type r motor in your ls? Either way is good.

Rebuilding a GSR vs swapping in a stock ITR motor was an easy choice for me in favor of the R. If we're talking the whole car, I would still be in favor of selling the LS and looking for a R.

if you're set on integras you're better off buying the type r. resale is better and the car is balanced out of the gate
but
for the 10-14k you spend on one you could get an evo8, 5th gen corvette or wrx
all of which get worse mpg than the R and weigh more but the performance potential does go up, especially in the case of the c5 and evo8, either of those can be made just brutal
if you get an R make sure you keep full coverage insurance on it
