Is this bad?
Ok so i just got a 95 integra... the car use to be vtec but the motor was completely rebuilt and a non vtec head was put on...the car did have s300 but the guy i bought the car off of wanted to take it so he gave me a p28 ecu to get teh car home on... i then changed it to a p75 obd1 ecu. The car runs fine and idles good. The check engine light came on because of a coolant temp sensor. I fixed that but now i cant reset the CEL i tried the battery, pulling the fuses and taking the ecu out and putting it back in. i did a self test and the CEL just stays on the dash instead of flashing. Any ideas how to get the CEL off when the car is running?
soo i pulled off the ecu and looked at some of the wires and this is what i found..
brown with black stripe(Logic ground) connected to blue/yellow (CKP ground) to orange with blue stripe (TDC ground p-side) to orange (CYP sensor p-side) white with red stripe (Interlock control unit A/T replay)
The blue with red stripe (starter signal switch

Re: Is this bad?
The uninsulated "crimp" connector shown in pix #2 is a standard connection used by Honda/Acura, [and other manufacturers] it should have been covered with blue tape.
The only white/reds I can find are the ones for the heated O2 sensor, [O2S] and the alt., [ALT F] and the brown/black is connected to the "shields" of those leads, not the leads themselves.
As riotchild mentions, a solid CEL is an indication that the ECU/ECM is bad. 94
