I was wondering what are some internals that should be built on my B18A engine inorder for it to be able to handle high power? I was told to get piston rings, pistons, rods, rod bolts I am not sure which brand is good quality and cheap. Is there anything else that should be changed?
The Good Stuff is never too cheap..i would go JE pistons and wristpins...high compression or low compressing depending if your gonna boost or not.......and while your at it Get RODS and all your bearings too...
Anything other internals I should change? If not I will get my engine rebuilt with those two parts added.
Im going with cp pistons and eagle rods myself. For my build im also picking up some arp headbolts, oem honda bearings, oem headgasket, oem timing belt, oem water pump. Maybe even possibly sleeving it, but it depends on the budget i have after summer
Wassup man? you wanna make sure the bottom end is gonna be trouble free so suggest you get the block lined bored... and if the crank has over 125k miles get it checked out and balanced.. good luck...
K Built... If its not, It should be... 91-DA-343whp 18psi pump gas t3 super 60 turbo... 91-EF-265whp 5psi pump gas gt32-57 turbo... 91-DA-404whp 19psi pump gas t360mm turbo... And plenty more out there and to come... BE AFRAID...
My engine right now has 300,xxx KM and I am going to rebuild it asap. I am planning on pushing like 12 psi max.
Heres what I have come up with:
- cp pistons and eagle rods
- arp headbolts
- new pumps and belts
- Everything else rebuilt if needed
