Re: 96 acura integra axle problem
What I do is grab the jack handle and wrap the end with a thick rag and wack the axle back in with a hammer, be careful not to rip the axle boot! set the jack handle on the thick part of the axle and tap it in. They usually wont go in by pushing it by hand.

I have a 1996 acura integra. I pulled the old CV axle out and try to get the new one in but it Will not go. There is something in the way and from what I have been told it is called a LSD so can anyone help me out on this please. Before I have to take out the transmission
The trick I use is to put the axle in the brake-side hub and attach with the nut, then try to align it into the transmission. While pushing really hard on the axle (you have to get the c clip past a notch) I have someone rotate the hub. It will usually just pop in. It can take some force though. You can also try the same thing by pressing against the hub.
You should not take out the transmission for this.
Good luck!
