Default 95 integra LS, wont go in gear

hey guys recently ive been having problems with my hoopty, its a 95 4dr LS all bone stock no mods, its got about 250K miles, its been having some kind of tranny problem, when im driving and come to a complete stop, i put in neutral and when green light comes on i step on clutch and try to put it in first gear its locking out it wont go in gear no matter how hard i push it in, i try 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th and reverse but it does not allow me to, I have to turn off the engine in traffic, step on clutch then put it in 1st gear and start it back up to get going, it seems like the pressure plate/clutch is still engaging even though im steppin on clutch pedal to release, also sometimes when i come to a slow stop while im in first gear i step on the clutch and let the car slow down to a stop the clutch/pp will still engage and my car just hops, pretty scary almost hit another car in front one time.

btw the clutch still grabs good and no slip and the clutch pedal still have good rebound pressure, everything was running really good then just recently this started happening, im thinking maybe the pressure plate but im not too sure, i need ya help so i can get back on the road thanks!

How close to the firewall is the clutch take-up? Say you've got it in gear on a level surface -- how far can you lift your foot away from the firewall before the car starts to try to move.

My guess is broken clutch spring(s)....

Symptoms, will not go into gear when engine running, will go into gear with engine turned off, seems to grab pretty good once engine has started and clutch released.

Question, once you have put it in gear and started the engine and start driving, can you shift up, and down as long as you do not come to a stop and take it out of gear?

If you come to a stop and take it out of gear and do not release the clutch, will it go back into gear?

Have you checked clutch fluid level?

Have you tried bleading the clutch system? 94

Sounds like it's time to bleed the clutch.

Check for signs of slave cylinder failure. It's easy to spot. The cluch slave will puke out brake fluid right in front of the transmission.

Just check, it engages about 3-4 inch from wall

Yes when it's going I can shift better but at times it will still lock out if I down shift
If I come to a stop and put in neutral keepin my feet on clutch pedal I can get in gear better than if I let go of clutch

I check clutch fluid last week cause i wanted to see if it was because of my clutch fluid but it was still full, I have not check fluid today but I'm positive that its still full

I have not bleed clutch system yet

Next time that happens, try pulling your foot up a little bit. Not enough to begin engaging the clutch, but enough to get your foot off the firewall.
