1995 GSR Slow Build
Hey guys just joined up on the site after picking up my 95 GSR yesterday. I picked her up at 3400, wish it couldof been a little cheaper, but being out in Hawaii and being in a crunch to get a car didn't leave me with much room to flex. She is a little rough for wear and the previous owner did a horrible back yard paintjob on it and violated the championship white paint job. As far as the motor goes everything seems to run up to spec. There is a check engine light that is supposed to be for the rear o2 sensor that I plan on replacing this week. I also think the mounts are gone, so I'll probably be upgrading to some Hasports in the near future. I'll update with some more pictures on the next post. Thanks for taking a look!
Pics from the day I picked her up.

Re: 1995 GSR Slow Build
Here are the next set of pictures I was able to take with my actual camera at the house.
I want to fix the badging on this...didn't even get the right Honda badge...oh well
I Wanna get the corners changed back to amber housings, dont really like the clear look.
The kid obviously loved the look of carbon fiber because this thing is sticker bombed with it on the interior...I personally hate it so I'm probably gonna rip it all out or just get new pieces.
Need to clean this up quite a bit, you can also see my broken door handle...
Profamed motor shot, not entirely happy with it, its dirty cluttered and dont really like how a few things were hooked up...HID's being number 1 on that list. Also had the exhaust pop out just after the header last night...yes I said pop out. I dont know if some 12 year old kid did the welding or what but there isn't even a flange to bolt it back together. I guess that means I'm adding a new exhaust or going to a muffler shop to get them to weld it up this week. Also saw that there was a little bit of oil leaking on my driveway so while I was under the car looking at the exhaust I took a look around and it looks like its coming from the oil pan. So looks like an oil change will be in my near future so I can drop the pan and fix that issue as well.
Thats it for now, let me know what you guys think!!! Thanks

Yeah, I ripped out all the wiring for the system that was in there, previous owner stripped all the speakers out, so I figured I didn't need the wiring anyway. Stripped all the carbon fiber stickers, got under the car and saw that the left and right torque mounts are shot, so I'll be picking up a set of ITR mounts with the ES inserts here shortly. Then its getting the horribly welded exhaust fixed, and then finally the o2...So hopefully here in the next couple weeks I can get that wrapped up and then work on some bodywork.

Small update..
Inteded to update this early but things have been pretty hectic, but I finally got around to it. Starting with a pic of all of the carbon fiber crap.
Sadly this is how much was in there total, I'll take another picture of the interior once I get all the old adhesive off.
Installed my license plate relocation plate, took a whopping 5 minutes lol
Also got my superbright leds in and swapped those out so I could actually read my tach.

after
So as of now thats it, still waiting on being able to order everything else. I'll keep things updated as much as possible

Leave the previous kid alone, he was trying to be JDM yo, the Type R's(I believe only in Japan) came stock with all that carbon fiber : P
Either way. Your body/paint isn't that bad, and with only 130k on it(my car is roller painted because of the previous owner, now that's some shoddy paint), that was actually a pretty good deal.

UPDATE:
Alas the joys of being married is fighting with the wife to let me buy stuff...but finally got her talked into letting me pick up some new torque mounts and some ES inserts. Also trying to source a junkyard out here on Oahu that I can go grab some parts from, if anybody reads this and knows please feel free to chime in lol. Hopefully more updates to come.
