I want to see what everyone is running. If you select one please reply and post the setup or just simply if your car is turbo/supercharged or all motor. Also if you have positive or negative feedback about one of the pullies listed please post. Thanks

CTR here. works well. havent noticed any problems yet. single pulley is key with such a tight space.

You IM me for my experiences since I advertise Fluidampr in my sig. Here go's.

The Fluidampr test was conducted at my shop. I freely admit to understanding little on their computer test screens. But we dyno'd more than a dozen prototypes both sweep runs and at various static rpms. It's quite a process to map the harmonics. Fred Rowland is a very smart man, an enthusiest, and hands-on knowlege about their products. I enjoyed and learned alot during the test. I believe in the company and support the product.

My "personal" conclusions, based on this test and prior experience in other forms of four cylinder auto racing, were the Honda engine does need some sort of damper. And tailored to the engines use. The harmonics of a race engine are not the same as a stock street engine. That is the point. The oil pump and the bearings will thank you.

Can you get by with stock or no damper? Others obviously have but my luck doesn't run that way. More important, you have alot of money invested in your engines and want them to last a reasonable time. A little more than $300 is cheap compared to fixing/replacing an engine.

And you can open the hood and see it! Can't do that with piston.

Howard Anderson, AR Fabrication, uses the Fluidampr Racedampr. Jason Hunt and Brian Ballard (on it's way) use the Fluidampr Streetdampr. Both SFI approved. The Streetdampr fits their CRX's without mods to the traction bar. I think Z10 has a modified bar for the Racedampr and ATI damper.

I use OE since I've seen two oil pumps destroyed with N1 and Unorthodox.

Since someone brought this subject up...I have been meaning to ask about the SFI 18.1 spec harmonic balancer rule for cars running 10.99 or faster.

I know the OEM one isn't supposed to be legal, but it seems everyone at the track is still using the stock one.

So, is this some rule that doesnt get enforced or what? If it is something I need to worry about, who makes a H22A balancer?

ATI steel damper with Peterson's Dry sump system - This was the prototype for their H22 Dry Sump System.
