i think my fsm shows it as a white/black wire, i'm trying to wire my remote start on my alarm and need a more accessable place to reach the wire than way up under the wheel.... please help.

no ur right there is no "sensor" it's a switch and the clutch pedal pushes it when you depress the pedal.

The two wires are
blue with black strip
and black with the silver dots
I use the button as a push button start switch on my dash. It can me a pain the *** to get to.

you think those wires could be in the lower kick panel bunched w/ the rest???....
i know how much of a b*tch it can be to get to i just replaced my whole pedal assembly and didn't think of this then. :kick ***:

uhhh huh.... that's not what i'm looking for though, unless u can tap into one of those wires to bypass the n.p.s.

See the red wire tap?
That by-passes my clutch switch.
What you want to do is engage the starter, no?
That's the place....
The starter relay will engage the starter, NO MATTER WHAT!

what i said a few posts up was a neutral safety switch that detects if the car's in gear or not. sorry that's a different thing
you're talking about the clutch pedal switch. what i did was follow the switch from the back wires. it should have 2 wires in there. it leads into a large loom in the back of the fusebox. its quite accessable once the fuse box is has been taken out. one wire is a constant 12v and the other is a switched 12v when clutch is depressed.

True but when you have a whole entire 90 civic si wiring harness in your 88std from front to back you need it. Its funny though I spent almost half a day trying to figure out why my car wouldnt' start and low and behold it was this stupid damn switch.

Correct, giving the Blue/Black @ the Starter Relay a GROUND will bypass the clutch switch.
As for the ignition switch itself, you need these connected also.
1.Black/Yellow (IGN #1)
2.Blue/White (Blower Motor)
3.Yellow (IGN #2)
4 Black/White (Starter Solenoid)
And if you want the radio to come on with the remote start there is another wire to connect, I don't know right now what color that one is.

you the man u the man, i'm gonna attemp to wire it today. won't the radio come on if i leave it on? i got the rest of the wires and colors off 12volt.... don't we need a relay in the starter solenoid circuit? to reverse the polarity? maybe just on my alarm.
