protection against window stretching?
I have recently found out that window stretching is a weakness for 94-7 accord models (not sure about other models). After moving the rubber behind the glass it is possible to "strech" the window about a 1/4 inch out without smashing glass to open doors.....alarm will go off eventually, but it gets theives past shock sensor alarms and gives them enough time to get to the battery to disconnect most alarms even after they go off.
are there any add on pieces a body shop can throw on to protect the window?....for example it was near impossible to pry my old taurus....

Buy a glass break sensor for your alarm. Then turn it up to the point if someone tries to stick a screw driver, slimjim, or any kind of metal rubbing on the glass that it will go off.

if you setup the prox correctly it won't false, except for here in the north east mine "falsed" when we had serverly heavy rain or hail. Other than that, I never had a false from it. The prox will run around $110-$140 at most places. Check around. I had a ton of luck with the DEI unit for all the customers I put it in.
go prox. If you have dual stage you can have the added benifit of interior and exterior triggers. If you set your exterior just a shy past the window pane and before the end of your mirrors you have a good warn away zone that should'nt false.
The interior should be up to the inside window and together they will effectivly warn and go off if anything should happen.
the sensor is like $27, the install is up to the installer. It can be added to a factory alarm by diode isolating each trigger on the original shock sensor, and should be mounted in a central location (like under the handbrake)
