what up guys. hey i posted the other day and didn't get any helpful responses. i also searched and didn't find any answers that help out. so if any could please help. my maintenance light stays on and it wont go off. ive pressed the reset button under the dash, but it doesn't go out. what should i do about this. thanks for any replies...

Just don't press it once. You have to hold it until the light goes off.

 

man trust me..ive done that...it still wont go out. normally the maintenance light will blink at me once ive started the car and then it'll go out. but as of late, the light just stays on and remains on. ive tried resetting it a million times and the damn thing still wont go out... holding it, pressing it, all of it bro... does nothing..what could be the prob??? any help please!!! this is driving me crazy

You can use the same techniqe as my mom does for her 12:00 blinking VCR, get a piece of electrical tape and cover it, you should know your maintenence schedule better than your car anyways.

 

try unpluging it from the back, dunno if it will work, but its worth a try

 

your key is at the "on" position right?

check to see if the button is plugged in.

 

car off...key to "on" im telling you guys..its nothing im doing..ive reset this many times before..so i have no idea wtf is wrong. the button should be plugged in..i havent messed with it...but you'd think if it wasn't plugged in, then it wouldn't ever light up..strange..ill ck it out though just to be sure. appreciate the replies..if you have any more thoughts, please post away
