intake manifold, need to indentify sensor

Default intake manifold, need to indentify sensor

What is this sensor in the bottom left? not the iacv, the one with the black hose running across and up into the manifold. I ask because my 88 crx si manifold doesnt have it.

Looks like a purge control solenoid if I'm seeing it right. Is there some wires coming off the bottom of it?

What engine is that manifodl from?

Bump, I'd like to know as well, I disconnected mine from the vac source and the car didn't run any different.???

EDIT: Mine has the same thing and it is a 90 Si.

I believe its called the fast idle solenoid. You don't need it. Just leave it unpluged.

the guy that i bought from listed it as crx si manifold. dunno what year. yeah it has a plug on the end of it.

thanks. ill prob end up taking it off and capping the vac line.

so if you don't need it..what does it do in the first place and what will it affect if it's disconnected and plugged?

it lets ur car warm up w/ a high idle.

I'm 90% sure thats what its for.
