Default b16 JRSC dyno chart - 234whp/169lbs

Not bad numbers for a b16 with a hot blower bolted on.

The Red run was my baseline on the Hondata big boost bin, and the Blue run was my final after cam gear adjustments.

Special thanks to Hondata for supplying a great base map for jrsc owners. After making a total of 4 changes to the fuel and timing, I hit the peak whp number of 240, with about 10 lbs less torque. After making a couple of changes to the cam gears, I was able to come up with the numbers posted above. The car is a blast to drive, and is relatively docile in street conditions.

The real torque increases came with cam gear adjustments. I went with -4e/+2i.

that's pretty much all I can say.

Nice #'s. With some headwork and an extended redline those #'s should increase.

Nice numbers hypa. What is your complete setup? I've upped the boost and need to get a retune and play with the cam gears.

Not too bad considering your setup.

good point goldJunGSR, cam gears don't have the love they deserve. Especially when you take into account how important the cam timing is. Hell, nearly all the manufacturers have some sort of cam timing on their hi-po motor options.

The motor consists of a jdm b16 block with a usdm GSR head. Block and head are stock. On the intake side I'm running a jrsc that sees 9psi on the guage, with a ported S tube and very mildly massaged manifold. Exhaust side is a Kamikaze header, no cat, and an Apexi WS exhaust (2.25"). Hayame cam gears (STR clones) and an ACT clutch/8lb flywheel combo and ITR lsd reside in the usdm GSR tranny.

The car runs an old skool Hondata 4b, DSM 440cc injectors, FJO wideband and was on 94 octane at the time of tuning.

The numbers are awesome, but this is still only a temporary motor. I should be getting my 1.9L b18c forged/balanced/lightened setup this week. Once that arrives, I'll be mating an LS head to the b16 block, and running a lot of nitrous (until it blows up). Once the GSR head is mounted to the b19c block, I'll run the jrsc and nitrous on the car.

Then we'll try our hand at either an H22/jrsc, or b19c turbo.
I love Hondas.
They're easy to swap and great cars to work on.

before I forget, I was running the 4" nose pulley, and stock jackson alternator pulley which were good for about 6psi on my old GSR setup. With the GSR crank pulley, I see 10psi on my guage, and 9.2 peak psi on the dyno map sensor.

I have a B20 pulley, and MVM stepper waiting for the low compression 1.9L.
