I have a completed bottom end for sale: It was in my car for about 1400 miles had 3 oil changes..................................And developed a slight rod knock.
I'm done with the project and just want to purchase a stock ITR bottom end again.
The motor has been inspected and the crank and rod are both fine (no blueing or discoloring at all) But the motor does need new rod bearings and reassembly.
What you get:
DART Talldeck Block (fully prepped/deburred)
Endyn Wiseco Pistons, 84.5mm bore (Coated by DART, Moly skirts, gold tops) -7cc dish
Eagle 95mm Crank (balanced by Cornell)
Eagle long rods
Mugen Oil pan
Honda waterpump
Honda Oil pump
Honda windage tray
Honda Oil pump pickup
and a Custom 4-1 stainless steel HeaderTech Header (stock B series won't fit)
Here is a picture of the motor during assembly:

The Compression is 10 to 1 so its ready for a turbo or supercharger, Swap the pistons and its ready for all motor duty. It can be shipped via truck freight.
Here is what the motor put down naturally aspirated.

Here it is installed in the car:

I have many referances here: https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=652175
As with all of my project this was a "spare no expense project" no shortcuts where taken, Every single part was brand new.
I am just sick off working on the car and want to go partially back to stock
Serious people only, please IM me or email Matjen@hotmail.com and put DART in the title.
If you are serious you will know what this is worth. Make an offer.

A bump for a nice short block i wish i had the money for, but not right now.
One question I have been wondering about though: can you use a stock timing belt on a tall deck block or is it too short?

i think that 'rod-knock' is excessive 'play' between the rod bearing and pin journal on the crank; basically it's a tad too loose.
chances are that it simply needs a slightly thicker bearing; easy fix, and likely damned worth it for a professionally assembled Dart block.
if someone mills a few thou "s from the head or deck to bump compression, this thing should make for a nice na street setup (~11-12:1 cr). if you put on a turbo, i see the potential for a shitload of easy, reliable power.

If you deck the head about 30 thou and run a thinner gasket it puts it near 11:0 to 1
When I heard the rod knock it was very minor ticking under load, I parked the car and pulled the motor.

seems like 10:1 compression is kinda in no-man's land...
its a little too low for all motor...and a little too high for turbo. if i were buying this block i'd immediately switch the pistons if i were going all motor...and consider switching them for a turbo setup also.
either way this is a great deal and i hope it goes to a good buyer.
