Default questions on crank and block

sorry that this is not honda related, but im just trying to get some ideas on prices from you guys since you answer more quickly than most other boards. i have a twin turbo 300zx and im on engine number two right now but that is all about to change soon. in the first motor, i threw a rod, and put some holes in my oil pan, the block could be cracked as well, but i never looked into it really (too lazy to put it on the stand). this time, im getting rod knock again, and thankfully the motor has not blown yet so i might consider saving it. if that is the case, i will most likely end up having to have the crank rebalanced and polished, and i would also probably have the block blueprinted as well. if i indeed go this path, i will end up getting new rods and pistons so they do not apply to this question. my question is this... how much would those services cost approximatly? ive never been to a shop that does such things nor have i spoken to anyone that has experience with it. if i end up changing my rod bearings and building the current motor instead of buying a pre-built motor, then i will definetly need to have those things done (at least the crank-specific stuff). thanks

cliffs: how much does it cost to get a crank balanced and polished? how much is it to blueprint a block? (both questions apply to a v6 motor).

talk to the people at http://www.zcar.com
there is a featured z31 (i think that's the code) that had it's engine fully rebuilt, talk to the owner to get a ballpark.

I guess calling a machine shop is out side of the scope of your abilities?

i love how you searched my threads just to respond to this bullshit. lol... and you said that you didnt give a **** about me... awwww how sweet.

has it ever occured to you that maybe i wish to seek the opinion of people that have actually gotten it done. im not interested right now as to what the machine shop has to say. ill deal with them when i have made up my mind on what im going to do exactly. im simply wondering what a ballpark figure for such a treatment is, that's all...
