Default Turbo Not Spinning!

Just finished up the install of my new turbo kit on my d16y8 motor, after the isntall finished I un-plugged the injectors and spark plug wires and cranked the car over several times to get oil flowing in the turbo, after that we fired it up. The turbo spun but after about 30 seconds it just stopped spinning, so I tol my friend to kill the car, that is when I checked to see if oil was going through the lines and oil was flowing, so what could cause my turbo to stop spinning?

The turbo is brand spanking new . . . . any help is appreciated

this is totalt normal. do not worry about it. it will spin at idle after it runs for an hour or so. just drve it arond for a little while to get everything heat cycled, after that it wll be spinning at idle. i promise.
i had the same thing happen to me. i primed the turbo and it still didn't spin at idle. one i drove around for a half hour or so of east driving it was all fine

when my turbo did that, my exhaust side was blown and I didn't even know, a rebuild fix everything.

the turbo is brand spanking new . . . no shaft play . . . it is on a SOHC Vtec motor and has a hotside of .63

It spins briefly when you first start the car, but then it stops spinning. The shaft you can spin pretty easily if you spin it by hand. I talked to Liam and he mentioned that if you have a turbo with a huge hot side it most likely won't spin much if any at idle, but as more air flows through it it will start to spin.

it's normal dude, no worries. at idle the car dosent have enough exhaust pressure to spin the wheels. now go take the sucker for a test drive and see how fast your car is

The guy regardless is doing bad buisness on this forum and you will allow him to romp around and get tech advice while he rips people off.

You stick with your immoral acts while i will be moral and make people aware that Tyson is infact a scammer. Ive always questioned his ethics as a seller from the first time I PM'd him and now i know what kind of guy he is. Simply said if you provide tech support for someone that is willing to sell faulty/crappy merchandise you are no better than that seller.

Stand up for your fellow honda-tech members and out scammers. Otherwise they just keep scamming people....if thinking that makes me deserving of getting banned. Ban me. Its not like i havent been banned from this site 6 or 7 times before.</TD></TR></TABLE>

There is a reason why you obviously keep getting banned don't you think. Where is your evidence of me scamming anybody . . . . huh? You got some F***** proof that I scammed anyone? How does you bringing all this up even have to do with the turbo not spinning?

I infact know a thing or 2 about forced induction, and yeah I learn new **** everyday thanks to all the other people that post here "Excluding" yourself. You got no right and no business bringing your bullshit into this thread and stirring up drama for no reason. If you got nothing to say to help the situation don't ******* be involved in making things worse.

Hopefully ART will kick in and set your little *** straight.

You got your answer.

And about the scammers, I dont see a problem with what this guy is doing except it seems he may be jumping the gun. You guys have to understand how serious it is to call someone a scammer on here, because people are SO quick to judge. They see one post about it and automatically, the person is labeled a scammer in their heads, guilty or innocent.

Im all for someone who is suspicious of a scammer to come out and say something, but please make sure your claims are warranted. This is a community, and we do have to look out for each other.

If you want to continue this scammer discussion, do your homework, get some proof, and post this in the classifieds. If you have a problem with the way someone does business, by all means, if you have proof, let it be known.
