Default Rods question here

I found a good group buy for Eagle rods and I have seen some turbo teg's using them. Would you guys rather have Eagle Rods or Crower Rods and why? Thanks in advance.

I'm personally going to get Eagle rods for my engine. I've heard nothing but good things about them when used in Honda/Acura applications. For what I'm going to be boosting (~18 psi max) Eagle Rods are more then adequate.

To be honest with most people the eagle rods are great for street/strip upgrades. But if you going ot build a full drag car i would not waste the money on a set of eagle rods. I have not seen 1 person run 30psi plus using eagle rods consistently. Most everyone either use the Crower,Pauter X bean , Carillo rods in all race applications Even IMPO uses there own rods which are bad ***.

Yep, that is what I thought. A lot cheaper than Crower as well.

Again guys, you most certainly pay for what U get or U get what U paid for. Cheap is good, there is nothing wrong wanting something cheap, but, when cheap comes at the expense of strength, U can see where the problem arises. U will have to spend more than twice when the rods dont hold up as expected. U will have to pay for the engine work twice where as if U had the job done right the first time around, the problem would not have existed. Crowers have withstood the test of time and come out shining. Remember the extra insurance is always good. U might not run 28-30lbs of boos like the full race cars but the extra is good especially in the event of detonation.

Bah, for $349 you can't go wrong. People choose Crower over Eagle for the name. I'd love to see a side by side comparison of the rods until they break.

An another note, I'm in for that group buy. Killer price.

Because I know how much crowers cost. I own a set.

Has anyone really had any problem at all with the eagle's? As far as I can remember I have never heard of someone braking or bending a set of eagles. I wouldn't be surprised at all if they were just as strong or stronger than crower. So for me the $300 extra for the crowers doesn't seem worth it, so I plan on buying to Eagle's.

So Dustin what would you recommend for boosting a teg? On boosted apps would you recommend eagles or crowers.

I'm thinking about getting some Eagle rods myself even though I dont plan on building up my motor until the spring. Looks like a good deal.
