Leaking oil....help
Ok, I am getting really frustrated here...
I'm still having problems with the GREX sensor attachment for my oil pressure gauge. I leak about a 5" circle of oil everytime i run the car....
So I unbolted the filter and attachment tonite, and noticed that I may have had it on backwards (it's easy to get mixed up)....so it fits better this way (metal:metal for the attachment to the block, and the other side has a rubber Oring on the attachment and of course the seal on the filter)....
So I thought I would be okay after reversing it...took it for a spin, came back and I'm still leaking a lot of oil. Then I jacked up the car again, replaced the oil filter with a new one, and this time tightened it down pretty good with an oil filter wrench (instead of just hand tight)....Took it for a spin, this time I was confident that the problem would be fixed......nope, still leaking a lot of oil.
Anyone ever use one of these things? ehhh....I feel that I'm just dumping money down the drain...I just bought a 6 pack of mobil 1 two day ago and now most of the bottles are gone from adding oil to my draining car.
Here's the attachment in case people don't know what it looks like:
It bolts in place of the oil filter, and the filter bolts right over this.

Re: Leaking oil....help (degradated)
possible that your missing any O rings that should have, but didn't come with it? or that you misplaced?
just an idea.

Re: Leaking oil....help (00SilverLS)
It came with an O ring on the billet attachment piece, and the oil filter has an O ring....they mate together..the seals are offset so there are two O rings keeping it sealed...but this still isn't good enough to stop the leaking...
