Default What weight synthetic oil to use?

I just bought my ITR this last weekend. I wanted to put the car on a synthetic diet and was looking for opinions on what weight oil to use. Thanks in advance

Since you're up North, I'd recommend 5W-30. I'm in Texas and use 10W-30 since it doesn't get cold here. Hope this helps.

How many miles does it have? If you have too many miles (75k+) and never used synthetic before, that might possibly cause a problem.

I've got 11k on the car and it is stock. I think i'll go with 5w30 since i'm up in the cold here in Indiana.

thanks

Look in your owner's manual regarding which viscosity to use in which operating temperatures. (I believe the manual says 5W30 is preferred.) Use the same viscosity whether it's synthetic or conventional oil, no need to vary just because it's synthetic.
