Throw out bearing
I've done a search and I'm pretty sure my throwout bearing is bad, but the engine/tranny has 199,7xx miles on it and i'm not worried about it lasting too much longer before a swap is in order. What are the potential negative effects of driving with a bad throwout bearing?
When bearings go to crap, bad things can happen. A TO bearing is a 20 dollar part...but honestly you wont know for sure if it's the TO until you replace it. Could be other bearings within the tranny. Get that swap ready!

thats not true, there are ways to diagnose each bearing inside the transmission even while the tranny is still on the car
example, a bad TOB will make noise at idle, with the clutch engaged (foot off pedal). when you press the clutch in (disengage clutch) the noise will stop. that ALSO could be a bad ISB (input shaft bearing) as those are the only 2 bearings spinning at those times.

Check the thread by BauleyCivic. It's under the mainshaft (between the clutch housing and the input shaft).
And I drove on a noisy ISB for right around 1k before I got around to fixing it.

My TOB went with right about 114k on the car. My MC and SC are fine.

I was told this, then I went ahead and replaced the TO, ISB, needle bearing...actually I replaced the TO bearing first, and it didnt do the trick...so I replaced the ISB, and the needle bearing(and the TOB again)....did NOTHING. Spent too much time on that crap. But that's my experience anyways.

what kind of noise will the TOB or the ISB make? Mine has been making a noise (with the pedel released) for quite sometime, but both bearings were replaced when I had my clutch and flywheel changed about 10,000 miles ago.

i hear constant clinking when my cars idleing and when i push the clutch in it gets louder, i have a exedy street/race clutch the ones with the shitty pressure plates...is this clicking sound related to my throw out bearing?

It's definatley not your input shaft bearing. The noise would go away when you pushed the pedal in if it were that.

Bauley civic, thanks for the help
on mine when im sittin in neutral with the clutch pushed in..it idles perfect no noise or anything
but when i sit at idle with the clutch NOT pushed in i here almost like somehting is barely grinding or rubbing.
i just got my car togethere that i have been working on for six months, i really hope i dont have to tear the thing back down...could it be the input shaft, and if so how do i check it

mine makes a squaking noise sometimes, just like my last 3 throuwout bearings.
I have bought 2 from Honda, and 1 from Napa, all 3 ******* squeak
Its not a bad noise, just an annoying squeak when the clutch pedal is out, loudest when the car is cold.
I can also make the sound stop by playing with the clutch pedal a little bit.
