wiring obd2 distributor to obd2b harness? is it possible?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
i just found a wiring diagram for the two.
the 96' obd2 has 9 wires
the 00' obd2b has 8.
i figured out the 9th wire is the engine speed output wire.
will the obd2 distributor run correctly if it is wired up to the obd2b harness WITHOUT the blue engine speed output wire?
thanx in advance.

I am wrong.
With the OBD2b ECU the blue wire is not needed from the distributor to the driver's shock tower at all.
However if you're running a OBD1 or OBD2a conversion then you need the blue wire.
