Default Is there a HP difference between...

OK I know a lot of you guys have switched over to the VAFC II from the first VAFC, But have you seen any difference in power?

I know its not going to be anything major but wanted to know if there was.

Please don't tell me about your Butt dyno tests, Give me hard evidence like a before and after Dyno chart.

Also for those who are in the business of tuning cars, which one do you prefer to tune with? and why?

thanks.

I can't see the VAFCII making more power overall but it will allow more fine tuning since it allows more increments. So there fore you technically can only gain hp in the areas where it wasn't tuned before.

what Den is trying to say is stick with the VAFC

forking out for a vafc2 doesnt seem worth it unless you have more mods bbasso...

and even then, perhaps a s200 will do you even better than a vafc2

Just go for a Hondata.. they make more power that VAFC.. with good tunning you could make prolly a bit more than a VAFC..

Only if you pay for it, a used VAFC is dirty cheap these days...

What I would like to know is...does the new VAFC II still even light up AMber on the buttons like the old one?
I remember the OLD vafc lighting up Amber(buttons) & Blue (on the screen) ? Not sure of the new one?

The new vafc does not light up amber. The new buttons are a pain in the azz to use too. Makes it like a video game.

I have the VAFC but I believe the II also allows for 2 separate fuel maps... This is good if you run a sliencer on the street in your exhaust and take it out for the track. I usually have to retune the fuel when I take out the silencer as my car goes lean with the regular street settings...

Still I think Hondata is the better way to go which is what I will be getting.

Not so much designed for it, just it has the ability to monitor the cam angle. And since there are different versions of VTEC, it allows you to set it up for what kind of VTEC you have (3 versions). Allows for 12 point fueling versus the 8 point of the VAFC.

B2FiNiTY, I myself like the new button arrangement. When I got into my old EG9 and was setting up the VAFC for my friend, I found the old one a PITA.
