i sold short shifters on ebay fora while. i cant say 100% for sure that will work. but i know that 90-01 teg and 88-00 civic shifters are the same. i cant vouch for the type r though.

it should work, one or the other you have to add a washer on each side.

 

I don't think it will work without modification. The integra shift linkage is wider than the civic shift linkage. When I put a gsr shifter into my civic I had to cut 1/4 off of each side of the bottom of the shifter and take out the gsr shifter bushings, then replace them with my old civic shifter bushings. It works perfect and is easy to do. If you didn't want to cut the shifter then you can just bend out the linkage, but thats kinda ghetto.

i had a cheap $15 integra shifter on my civic, worked fine. the bends are just different.

 

yea you can bend the forks that go around the bottom of the shifter where the long bolt goes through. I tried bending mine at first, but it was kinda a pain to bend it right. Most people i've heard of have bent it, but i think its actually easier to just modify the shifter.

 

It will work just fine. He said he has a 00 civic si which I assume still has the stock b-series motor and shift linkage so It will bolt right in.

 

I have jdm itr linkage in my 00 si, so the answer to your question is yes. You shall have no problems at all.

 

i think we could give you a better answer if you told us what car you have and what motor. if its a eg/ek with a sohc motor then i dunno. if its a eg/ek with a dohc swap then yes it will DEF work

I can vouch for this. I just messed around with a hatch with a GSR shifter (sohc b00st's hatch btw..and picked up his SIR lip) for the first time. I NEED one now!

 

Yes the GSR and B16 Si linkage is different. You can naturally see how the shifters are shaped different. The Type R and GSR use the same shifter and linkage (fat one). Unless you want to cut about 1/4"-3/8" off the shifter, you would either have to bend and try to reshape the factory linkage or get a GSR/Type R linkage. I have the GSR linkage and and shifter in my car and love it, definitly worth it IMO.

ditto everything he said. i tried to bend my existing b16a shift linkage but it looked jerry mandered and i didnt want to comprmise the life of the tranny. so i went out and bought a gsr shift linkage to match the gsr shifter.
