Default Shock Knock from the rear passenger

Hey, ive got a 93 SRv and ive been getting this thumping/knocking for the longest time. Even after i changed my bushings, shocks and springs. Also the strut mount is fine as well . It comes from the rear passenger side, and its a knocking kind of sound that is heard/felt when i go over bumps. ive tried many things but cant get it to go away.

Its not the strut mount, sway bars, strut colar bushing, control arms, upper control arm bushings for sure. i dont konw wtf it is. And its not the shock either cuz its brand new.

anyone have a possible solution ? cuz it really takes away from the ride quality

thanks

Do a search for shock knock and posts by me. I solved my knock very simply and detailed how to do it.

hey zimmlude i did a search for your posts but iddint find anything. but i did another search on shock knock and found 2 solutions, 1 being the 00-090 TSB replacement part , and 2 using the washers.

i want to try the washer trick first but im still not clear where to put them, and what size to get. thanks

I would like to know this too (even though I own a 5th gen). All the links I've come across for a clear write up on how to solve this problem are always dead ones.

Since the search function seems to be a big pile of crap here is my old post:

I trimmed about 1.5mm off #15

It is #15.

I just went back out and completely eliminated the knock!!! I took the collar out again and ground off some more and it is gone! I ended up taking off about 1.5mm from the top of the collar. I can hit any bump now and it is completely silent!

You can do this with the car on the ground and suspension in place.

I so happy :D :D :bigthumb:

You can get a new one from Honda. I have one somewhere at home, and if I can find it when I get off work, then I'll post up the part #.
