Default Are all rear lower trailing arms interchangable?

Hi,
Im looking to go junk yard hunting for a right rear trailing arm soon. I think mine may be bent somehow.

My question is... Is the rear trailing arm on all 92-95 civics/ 94-01 tegs the interchangable reguardless of brakes?
I plan on just getting the arm and putting my rotor and caliper on it if I can only find a rear drum set.
If I can find one with disk brakes I grab that and just swap it all over at once.

Item 14/15 for those who are having trouble imagining what i am describing.

One more quick question how much should the yar rape me for the arm? its about $200 new from honda?
Thanks

No !

I know first hand that a Integra GSR , Civic EK Si, & Del Sol VTEC rear trailing arms have a larger diameter spindle than a Civic DX. Also, the bolt patterns for the brake components are different.(ie- you cant bolt disc brakes from a GSR to a Civic DX rear trailing arm.)

As far as Civic EX's, and EG Si's spindle size, I'm not sure if they're different from a DX. Why does the spindle diameter matter ? Non-interchangable hub bearings.

So I guess Im looking for more specifically a rear arm off of a 92-95 civic with disk brakes. Anybody know how much I should be set back?

i've personaly, and on several occasions, bolted rear disc assymablies onto civic dx and cx rear trailing arms. if you look on the back of the trailing arm you will see the hub is held in by 5 torax T25 bolts. undo these and the 2Xmm? (don't remember size off hand) nut on the hub and the rear brake system will drop off. you can then transfer it to whatever honda trailing arm you have laying around. this works for for all civic based (CRX,DA,DC,EG,and Ek) trailing arms w/disc brakes. non disc brake arms will need to be drilled and tapped in to locations to accomidate the E brake dust shield.

definatly right info. have swapped 5bolt hub from an ITR to a 90 crx rear trailing arms, worked just fine. but a bitch to remove the torx and the rear hub nut.

Shut the hell up, you damn sure can. All the rear drum trailing arms are the same part number.

Take it easy Corky. What I said was true; The brake componants from a disc hub will not bolt to a drum hub. The hubs are removable and interchangable.

on a side note: EF and DA rear trailing arms are different in one aspect. they both use a larger OD bushing in the center. (i have no idea what the actual name for that part is, sorry) this may or may not affect the suspenion if installed on EG,EK,or DC chassies; however they will bolt up. i've never bothered to try it out and see what would happen

I had tried to remove my hubs, but didn't have the correct torx bit to do the job. I later went a different route. The hub being removable just simply slipped my mind when I made my post.

That's good info to have.(Considering the fact that buying the wrong rear bearing units is a $250 mistake.) Don't discredit my post because I left info out. Add to it, and enlighten everyone. Act like an ***, and no one will want to listen to you.

There is 4 Torx bolts, not 5. Also, I believe it is T50 for the torx bolts if not, its T45. I know for sure it isn't T25 tho.

Yes, they will. I have GSR rear trailing arms on my EK. As always, the newer, the better. And be prepaired to get an alignment.

I had to replace my bearings after about 2 years (I think my trailing arms came off a 95 GSR). They were making all kinds of noise, the bearings were toast. It was $230 for new rear bearing hub units (with a parts hook up price). That's more than what PasswordJDM wants for a set of trailing arms !

One thing I noticed about having GSR trailing arms is that my e-brake cables are very tight. One side seemed shorter than the other (only like 1/4-1/2 inch). Is this normal on EK's ? Would running a 99-00 Si set of e-brake cables solve this ?
