Use Type R or GSR oil pump, they seems to flow better than the LS or the non vtec version. You cna use either water pump, but for whatever pump you're using, use the same timing belt.

Im guessing the itr pump is probably more $$$; are they they the same as the gsr?

And wow i didnt know i had to get a certain timing belt; THANKS BIG TIME

say the itr one is 50 bucks more is it going to be worth it or should i just go for the gsr one

Just to be safe; I need the timing belt to match the water pump, that is all that matters? Correct?

1996+ Integra share the same oil pump. 15100-P72-A01. $90.08 + Shipping.

Water Pumps are different. LS vs GSR vs ITR.

So if I have a 96 LS, upgrading the oil pump doesn't matter?

No, if you had a pre-OBDII Vehicle yes. The updated oil pump is listed above. Now ITRs do have better water pumps.

Hey Len, how come the 94-95 oil pumps are so much more expensive than the 96-up pumps?
BTW, thanks for the great service.
I buy all my OEM stuff from Len's dealership..

What's the actual difference between the water pumps? I'm assuming since o said use the right belt that means the drive gear must be different, but what else.

also make sure the year of the oil pump matches the year of the timing belt cover your using or else the bolts wont line up

Honestly Earl, they only thing I can think of is that Honda switched to a different supplier, thus the cheaper price.

I just upgrade to the new gen one and leave the CYP sensor alon and use new covers its cheaper that way.
