Default Anyone Here with the Greddy Turbo on their ITR?

The Drag Kit is out of the question for me since I won't pass emissions without having to take the turbo off. Anybody have an ITR with the Greddy Kit? What kind of power should I expect from the stock boost level?

I have seen 2 of them installed on Gs-r's.They only made high 190's.There is an import lifestyle vid that has them installing it on a gs-r.From what I can see of the dyno it made around 190 or so.I couldn't justify doing a turbo unless it made bigger #'s than that.Hope this helps some.

You can modify a drag kit to be emissions legal.

Won't I fail the visual check?

Greddy kit is too expensive for what it makes. get the drag or take the 3500-4k you`d spend on the greddy kit and do a decent high comp all motor setup.

Actually, I was set on an NA setup but I wanted to make sure that I wouldn't regret it in terms of power output. That's why I'm exploring all options.

That depends on where you are.
Since you are in Virginia, some places will pass visual so long as all
the emissions related equipment are in place and functional.
Some will look at the turbo and laugh at you. Just gotta find a good place.

thats rigth.. who gives a fock about emissions legal.. when you get pulled over by some nast CHP officer and he finds a turbo doesnt matter if its greddy or not.. most of them dont give a flying.. and you still end up with a ticket.. but yes illegal smog is the way to go my best 150 ever spent

to answe the question on the greddy kit.. there is smoeone on this board by name of "spooncivic" he has on on the ITR motor in a hatch.. i think he wants to upgrade it too due to low HP numbers.. not sure on that one though..
go drag or revhard.. w/headgasket

Well, since I'm in VA, I won't have to worry about the CHP. If I can make a RELIABLE ~250whp with the Greddy Kit, pass emissions, and have a relatively quiet exhaust note, then I think I will go that route. If not, then I'm going back to the original plan of Toda Spec Bs.
