Installing Oil Pressure Gauge
Ok, I searched. What is the best way to run the oil pressure line. I was going to get a BSP T but I have read that they vibrate out or I was going to get a BSP adapter to NPT and run the tube to the firewall and T it there. Any suggestions will be helpful
I would just go to autozone pick up the metric adapter set! 4.95! Get a T fitting and use some teflon paste or tape! it will be fine..

I would defintly not run it directly off the block, I have seen bad things happen when its mounted right on the block. Here is how I have mine mounted.
you need a bspt to npt adapter and i advice running a teflon braided hose and hook the oil pressure to there....

eh, bad idea. those cheap metric adapter fittings from Sunpro are made of brass and I tightened one down lightly in my block the other day and it completely sheered off inside my engine block due to it's shoddy press-fit construction. do not use these, they are not fun.

I have used many of these brass fittings and I have never had a problem with any of them. Are you sure you used the right fitting ?

so if i would decide to go with an electrical guage, is there anyway I can splice in and use oem pressure switch or something, to avoid putting T in or something

No, you need to use the sender that comes with the gauge.

When I pulled my motor, the Sunpro tee I had used snapped in half in my hand when I simply very lightly grabbed the thing.

I'd prefer not to give my money to APG, but it looks pretty damn nice. How much did that set you back? Do they stock those or is it just a one-off custom part?

Just wondering why ? Not disagreeing with you, because I have dealt with them and they do rip people off but why do you hate them ?
