Hondabond = Permatex Ultra Gray

exact same stuff. I use it on all valve cover gasket changes, and also used it on the cam end seal. That was 25K miles ago and no leaks yet.

The orange is a copper silicon gasket.

The grey is a thicker filler type gasket.

I would use grey anywhere, where it calls for hondabond.

If you want to go by the book and use Hondabond, then the Ultra Gray is where it's at.
