Are you asking how to do the MPFI swap?
You should also convert to OBD 1 well you are wiring.

Off the Y8 wiring harness you need:

Distributor plug
vtec solenoid plug
vtec pressure sw/ plug
coolant temp sensor plug
Injector plugs

You will convert your DX harness to multipoint fuel injection. Then, using either a harness purchased from Blown90hatch for example, or manually splicing the plugs in, you will convert to OBD-I. Do a search for all of this stuff, it's been covered many times.

u will get better results if u go to obd1 .. using the p28 ecu ... just get a obd0-obd1 harness and get a hold of a p28 ecu .. that way u dont have to worry about where wires go were .. the harnesses usualy come with the instructions ... and plus u dont have to worry about the getto *** vtec activation thing ... just my opinion

I did a d15b7 swap into my 89 crx dx in the summer.. You need to extend the thermoswitch a little bit and get the plug for it.. The 89 block has it on the back of the block and your new motor has it on the thermostat housing.. If you do stay with the obd0 you need the dizzy from a crx si or hf..

Intake meaning intake manifold.. I didnt know there was a difference between the manual and automatic intakes.. And no the hf intake is very different than the si intake.. Just find a y8 intake manifold.. You need the dizzy from the hf or si not the intake from it..

Your best bet is a M/T 96-99 Y8 Intake Manifold. After that, a Z6 intake manifold. Third on the list would be an 88-91 SI manifold... because the hf flows like poo. And the Auto Y8 manifold has a weird three wire IACV that won't let your car idle right.

Then get an 88-91 Si manifold.

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by FAST AS &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">is the sensor on the throttle body or the intake its self </TD></TR></TABLE>

Which sensor? The Y8 has the MAP sensor on the throttle body, unlike the 88-91 which have it on the firewall.

Y8 distributor if you need a complete harness built for DPFI-MPFI as well as an OBD1 jumper let me know I build them all the time.
