Default NEED HELP WITH CHECKING MY CEL CODE!!!!!

I just got home and my check engine light decides to go on my 2000 civic ex. My friend has a teg and he has checked his engine light before and solved his problem but we just cant find the adapter to hook the 2 paperclips together and find out what the code is!! Will someone please respond asap with the location of this adapter! Thanks

have you tried to look on the passenger side kick panel where the ecu is located? you will see the regular ecu plugs and one small loner plug.

we sawpped them and still threw same code for same cylinder . duh!
Im calling plug wires . if not that than distributor maybe. duh!

why doesnt cody stop being as cheap as me and get a new cap/rotor and spark plugs then maybe his car will break 16's

All I had to do was change plugs and re-set the ecu and I was set! Did you remember to re-set the ecu?

yes and i was still reading the same code. Tommrow cody will pick up some plug and plug wires and the we will reset again. If that doesnt work than he will just have to dig a little bit deeper into his pocket for some more stuff beyond the plug and plug wires.

got new plugs but its still doin the same thing.... i am going to reset the ecu right now

reseting the ecu didnt work so ill have to bring it in somewhere

or you can just buy a new cap/rotor/ignitor, or just check your plug wires

usually a misfire code is from either the plugs or the wires, if u have a misfire the car should be running like ****. u dont have to go as far as replacing the cap and rotor. I would replace the wires too and see where your at.
