I was wondering how to take off the door handles because I want to get them painted to match my car color. I got the door panel off and the 2 10mm nuts off but now the lock is stuck on a little plate and I cant figure out how to take that off and dont want to break anything,and also if anyone could tell me how to get off the side skirts and door moldings off i would greatly appreciate it. Thanks

ok, I had to do this with my friend's car too... it's a pain in the ***... you have to take some sort of pliers and their is a metal rod going into the plastic with an "L" bend on the end, so you have to kinda turn it and pull it out at the same time. I think I'm kinda explaining it wrong, but that's just about it.

 

it is a pain in the ***, i tried taking myne off to put 4door door handles where my front ones are, its a toughy

 

Honda sells them prepainted you know.

Two bolt thingys in the back.

1 locker bar with a compression clip..

That one is a pain in the ***..

You need a few little jewlers screwdrivers to wedge in that sucka and pull out the pin..

It takes 2 minutes to master..

 

you should see the tops of the clip by the top of the plate, push down on the clip with a screwdriver, and pull down on the clip with another screwdriver at the bottom of the plate. doing this your first time will probably take you a little while and you're going to get really pissed off by the time you get it

 

if youse guys are talking about that little c or e clip people call it all sorts of names i already got that off including the little spring lookin thing and the plastic piece if its those clips youse are talkin about its not that hard for me because i have like 4 little gas remote control cars and thats all those things are are little c clips and pins

 

i was able to change the side moldings and mirror, but i didnt even try the door handle, it looked really hard to do.
