Need help hooking up TurboXS dual stage boost controller and Tial wastegate...
I thought they were suposed to be hooked up one way, then I was told another. Can someone tell me the propper way to hook them up? and what's the best vacuum source to tap into?
a MBC just goes inline with the line that goes to your wastegate. We can't use the top port unless we had an EBC.
can someone explain that better? Which nipple on the DSBC goes to which nipple on the Tial. and are you saying i leave the top nipple on the Tial empty?
What's the best vacuum line to T off of, i heard the line going to the FPR works fine...

The side port the TurboXS boost controller goes to the top port of the wastegate. The bottom port of the boost controller taps into the line going from the side port of the wastegate to the intke manifold. Hope this helps.
Side port on the wastegate goes to the bottom port on the mbc. then the side port of the mbc goes to the manifold or pressure side of turbo. the top port of the wastegate stays open with the mbc. At least that's how I understood it. There are a couple of topics about it in the archived section.
Double post.
I could be wrong though. One post said leave the top open, another said to use it so now I'm not sure, lol...

Now i'm confused even more. Everyone who has an idea use this picture to draw up what you think is the right way:

I think I'm going to hook the BOV, WG, and BC up, all off the brake booster. And run the boost gauge from the line going from the Intake mani to the FPR. Would that give me a good reading?
And can someone that's positive about how these get hooked up, help me out? I keep hearing different things.

all motor, it would be ok but i would t them into different sources so i could get a stronger vacuum source
and the boost gauge seems good, thats how i did it and it works good
and make sure you dont use the secondary vacuum line off of the throttle body
in my car it is the orange one

I'm sorry I didn't realize the dual stage had two different ports. A normal MBC with only one inlet/outlet MUST be hooked inline to the sideport w/ the top port left open.
With the controller you have, I am unsure. My apologies.

Don't use the top
Ok I have the same set-up.
Side port from the Wastgate goes to the bottom of the MBC......got it.
Side of the MBC goes to the Intake manifold or to another vaccum source going to the IC manifold.
I haven't had 1 spike or boost creep. Nothing, just goes to 11 and hold steady.

Yes leave the top port on the wastegate open. Also on the vacuum sources make sure your bov and wastegate have the best sources of vacuum.
I know there will be an arguement on this but I have mine setup this way and have no problems. Instead of using a long vacuum line just hook your vaccum source to the turbo itself. you know, the fitting everyone covers up and says not to use.
Finally, an answer. Thanks guys. Now for the BOV, I have a Greddy Type S and there are 2 spots on there for a hose. A larger one near the top, and a smaller one below that. Which one of those do I use? and about the WG, should I even screw in the top banjo bolt/nipple fitting, or leave it off. Does it matter?
I think the top is closed and the side is left open for the type-s. From what i've seen
The type S has 3 parts the very top is for adjusting, the next middle/top is for the vacuum, and the side/lowest one is for vent, just leave it open.
Oh and i checke don my wastegate to mbc line. I have the turbo xs boost controller. I have line leaving the wastegate into bottom of mbc, and then out the side into a "T" going into FPR vacuum line.
ON the top port of the wastegate dont use the nipple fitting, just leave it open. Hope that helps

ebc use a solenoid to allow pressure to fill the top chamber of the wastegate, effectively allowing you to keep the wastegate shut past whatever psi the spring was made for.

oh ok, then how does a MBC work? to hook mine up, it just goes inline between the vacuum source, and the side barbed fitting on the Tial? and just leave the top open to atmosphere?

vac/boost signal-----------mbc------------side port of wastegate
mbc's have a ball and a spring inside, once the boost is strong enough to overcome the spring pressure the wastegate will see the pressure and open up. the more you tighten the MBC the more boost it will need to open the wastegate, therfore raising the boost...
