Default Need help asap. 88HF CRX w\ D16A6...what hubs do i have???

ok i bought this 1988 crx HF and it came with a D16A6. so the question i have is i'm going to most likely go with a B16A swap and i heard that if you have a HF series crx you need new hubs for the B16A swap...is this true? another thing is tho i have a HF crx i do have a SI motor in it so does that mean maybe i already have si hubs and not HF? i'm just asking to see if i can save money and not purchase new hubs. ok well please help if ya know. thanks!

also i have another question. since i know you can't use the HF hub\knuckles with the integra axles(integra axles for B16A swap)....and my car is a HF but the swapped in a si D16A6 motor...did they have to swap out the HF hub\knuckles for SI hub\knuckles? or can the si axles fit into the hf hubs? haha sounds confusing but if someone can help let me know! also...is there any way to tell what hub\knuckles i have(either HF or SI?)

I also have an '88 HF that came with a D16a6..
In my case whomever swapped the engine used the HF transmission
and axles...
*I think* you can use the HF axles with the Si transmission so that is
probably what you have..
To go B16,you will probably have to swap out the hubs..
You will know for sure when you try to insert the integra type axle as the hole in the hub
will be smaller if it is the HF hub..

Sure, find a friend that has Teg axles, use one and try and fit it in your hub and you'll know then....

SI axles won't fit HF hubs. BUT HF axles WILL fit an SI transmission. So it is entirely possible that your HF still has HF hubs. Very likely, in fact. Most people try to go as cheap as they possibly can. And what could be cheaper than keeping both your current hubs AND axles?
