question on h22 swap in cali, smog question
is it more of a pain if a h22 swap is in a dc-2 to get it smogged?
my registration is due in about 1.5 months, and im about to put a jdm h22 in my car, and Im trying to see how hard it is going to be to get it smogged.
i think it should be fine if I put a new cat and everythign else is stock

Yeah it should be fine. the person to hit up that is in socal as well is Newman.
There was a guy (laugHin22CX) who got BAR certified with an H22 civic as well I believe.

That was me (maybe he did it to, but I think your thinkin' of me). Here's the pic:

It's super straight foreword, once you understand the process (just like a GSR or ITR, etc). I'll guide you through it ;-).

oh cool. I though I was the only one heh heh.
Yeah I used the original JDM ex. manifold. Did you have to get a USDM one? everyone seems to be asking me about that, and I didn't have any problems using my DJM one . . .

Damnit. I was too scared to use the jdm manifold. I thought the referee would know the difference. I went a bought a greddy header
. I then had it modified by IB w/ a 2.5" collector...big mistake, for smog at least. Because the collector was so big and my exhaust was 2.5", my 2.5" carsound cat wasn't heating up at idle, so I kept failing the 15mph test. I finally passed by having midas ghetto weld a 2" cheapo cat in place of the carsound cat. Damn if I would have just gotten the stock prelude cat with my swap I coulda saved alot of money and the whole ref thing would have been a whole lot easier.
It took me 4 tries to finally pass.
I'm just glad it's over with.
