well i went to the local junk yard this pass weekend and i saw alot of civics and some del sols with rear disc...so my ? is what brakes will fit on my car with out any problems and i have after market struts in the back and a camber kit....any help guys....

 

What kinda car do you have? If you have a civic then any Integra's rear disc will fit. The hatch Si's and Del sol will fit also.

 

first it might help to tell us what kind of car you have. also expect to see alot of replys with one simple word written "search"

 

yes they most likely will, just use your stock LCAs and struts and you'll be set. Oh and make sure you order e-brake cables for a rear disk setup...

 

yup if it is a Civic any Integra will fit + Si's & del sol, if it was me I would go with Integra's

 

you need the LCA's from the donor car, e-brake cables, rubber rear brake hoses, and you should also get the master cylinder and proportioning valve.

I suggest you grease the hell out of all the solid rubber bushings as they have a BAD tendancy to squeak like hell from being old and dry when you swap it all out...

 

You will need the trailing arm from the donor car as well as the E brake cable and the brake lines. You can retain your LCA. I left the stock front brakes and the proportioning didn't seem to be diferent. I did use SS lines and Axxis ultimate pads front and rear. The pedal feel is good and if I get on them too hard they will lock. In trafic they work really good. I will in the future get the PROP valve and the MC from a 99SI to see how much of a difference it makes.

 

the valving is different in the proportioning valve and master cylinder on disc brake cars versus non-disc brake cars dude...you should NEVER mix-n-match parts just to be cheap. Simple realization is that your rear brakes will never fully unclamp as the drum brake setup runs higher static pressure through the valve so you'll be forever dragging the back brakes which will:

A) give you a lot more brake dust to clean off the back.
B) you'll wear your pads down faster than on the front.
C) you'll LOCK up faster when hard braking.
D) you run the risk on long journeys of overheating the calipers and rotors which will warp the rotors and toast the calipers.

you can keep it ghetto'fid if you want to but me personally I like to do something right the first time and be done with it so I paid my $40 for a used 99-00 SI proportioning valve and master cylinder while I got my parts.

at the junk yard there was a 90 integra....but i was looking at a 93 del sol so i should get the master cly from the car too and what else...
