Default Light on warning chime

For some odd reason my car dosen't warn me if I forget my lights on anymore. I was thinking of wiring up a buzzer or something loud. Would this work?

here is a picture of a relay pin layout:

85=Ground(-)
86=Ignition power wire(+)
30=Power when lights are on wire(+)
87a=wire to buzzer or some kind of warning device(+)

I am almost 100% sure that this will work. I just want to know if there is an easier way, or should I just try to trouble the cars stock chimer.

The 92 civic hatches does warn you if you forget your lights on with the ignition off right?

you don't need any relay just a buzzer/chime just need to wire it in the fuse box

search in the archives that where i found mine at and all used was a buzzer and it always works

I just have a little buzzer from radio shack, with flat connectors soldered to the + and - wires, and then attached to certain points in the fuse box under the dash. I will have to take some pictures....

yea my 95 ex doesnt have the warning either...i think they put them on the 96's... i did the same thing (have the same one as well) as dwnthehatch...the thing is loud and cost like 3 bucks...i wasted more gas on driving to radio shack than i did with buying that thing...

after reading this thread last night i decided to go out and get the buzzer and put it in. it was easy as hell. i did the 2 and 3 aux slot thing and it works great. only thing is that my alarm makes my lights flash for 15 sec when my door is open so it buzzes every time they flash on and off till i turn the key on. but hey if it saves me from having to buy a new battery i'm down. this was a great topic. thanks everyone.
