as title reads i was driving downtown to get some gas a nice cheap eat from McD. IM waiting in line listen to some music when all of a sudden i see a CEl. no idea why it pops on, so when i pull out onto the main road the cars torq is gone and v tec will not engage. so im like wtf is goin on here. make it a li ways home when the tac decided is wants to not read my speed anymore. gas, rpm's and temp. all remained in working condition. i losy my little wire that had both ends sodered* so i cant check the code of the cel. but my car has been acting funny for a while, you should read my other post if you have any ideas.

Is the code still there or did you already reset the ECU? If not, find a paperclip; that will work just as well as the piece of wire you used.

 

just used a paper clip and its a code 17. can anyone tell me the code, by manual is at my brothers

ok that sxplains why my tac doesnt work but why would it all of a sudden throw a code while im not moving, not reving, not doing anything to the engine but sitting there?
