help timing belt ( tdc) problem
am currently atempting to reinstall my timing belt on my d16z6 and i can't figure out what tdc is from the marks on the stock cam gear, there is up a line then another i just tryed with up at tdc and the car would not start

you're right so far with the mark "up" facing straight up. the two horizontal lines won't pertain to the d16z6 engine but the third line facing about 7 o'clock should be align with the mark that's on the timing belt cover(inner one to be exact). if you look down at the pulley you should see a pointer that's on the cover of the timing belt, it should be pointing at the TDC mark that's on the pulley. it should be the white marking painted by the honda. these two marks should be align perfectly. hope that helps.

thanks for the help i'm also wondering about the markings on the crank pully i thought i had everything lined up right but i guess i was wonge thanks for any help
