Default Timing belt now wont start!!!!!!!!

I did a b16a swap into my 90 crx dx and decided to replace the timing belt (made the mistake of doing it myself) anyway I loosened the tensioner and took the belt off, the car was on crank pulley was on TDC and the cam gears were in the "up" position and the two marks on the side were lined up with the mark on the rear timing belt cover. Everything is perfect, however when I went to start my car it just keeps cranking. Does anybody have an idea of what could be wrong. I have a virgin PW0 and a chipped PR3 ecu they both do the same thing.

What makes you think it's the timing? Did you check to make sure when the crank is at TDC the cam gears are also? If they are you should be able to eliminate the timing as your problem.

make sure the cam gear marks are actually vertical, and that all the marks are lined up. if you adjust the tension wrong, timing marks will line up at first, but after it rotates, it moves a tooth or two.

Well the car did run before I started to do the timing belt, then I did the belt and now it doesnt start. It started when I first finished the belt, but it didnt rev past 3000 rpm so I took it off and started all over again and since that it hasnt started thats why I think its something to do with the timing. Any ideas???

Check your timing again. Double check it, triple check it. That sounds like the problem.

like everyone else said, double check the timing with the belt on.

Also double check your spark plug wire order.

When its cranking does it sound like the motor has compression? Or is it just spinning freely?

It does sound like there is compression, but I could check though just to make sure and then I'll get back to you. The order on the spark plugs is 1,3,4,2
