Timing belt keeps jumping off.
D16Z6 in the car.
Seems like it wants to start, but the timing is off. I was given a block with a belt Tensioner that was smaller, and kept letting the timing belt slip off. I took the Tensioner off my D15B7 which is bigger and put it on. Belt jumps off even with me tightening the pulley to the max. I put the belt on correctly, (oil, tensioner, water pump then cam, yet still cannot get the timing to remain the same.
Any advice or hints???

Re: Timing belt keeps jumping off.
D16Z6 timing belt is what I am using. Thats just it, it seems as if it hard to pull up all the way. I have done timing belts on the B7 and the tension moves more freely allowing me to pull it up more. I will try that tonight. I hate Timing
