ill sell you my old vg30dett.... all you need is seals, timing belt, and accessory belts..... oh yeah, and rods, pistons, a block, a crank, and a oilpan.... it looks good from the outside though!! only a couple of small holes... 
think of it.... you could be the first guy with a twinturbo 300zx engine in your honda!

a built b16 -Maybe a stock one.
a stock gsr -Think again.
a ls/vtec -Nope.
a very built d16 -boosted D16 is very achievable with that amount.
You still need to figure in the cost of replacement parts, (Timing belt, water pump, misc hoses, tune up parts, etc.) shipping (if applicable), and labor (If applicable also)
More than likely an LS swap, B16 swap, or built and/or boosted D16, is what $2500 will get into your Sol.
