Default H22 spun Bearing rebuild or replace

Car is a '01 Prelude SH
H22a4 41,000 miles
Over revved with 3rd to 2nd misshift
bent 7 exhaust valves

I had the head fixed and whent he shop bolted it back up they said that the bearings were "klunking around" meaning the bearings were also no good. They want me to buy a new short block.

Others have told me that it is rebuildable if it spun a bearing.

Am I getting screwed how much should this cost me?

All you did was miss-shift? It is strange the bottom end needs rod bearings now... Do a rebuild, but check for bent rods.

You should be able to rebuild it jus tmake sure you chekc all your clearances for your rod bearings, because usually if your knockin pretty hard then you worn down the bearings and started wearing ont eh crank and that may make too much clearance in between crank-bearing-rod.....then it will just do the same thing, you can also just get your crank ground and buy oversized bearings
I would jus tbuy a short block but thats just me
