After I installed my turbo I was only hitting 2 lbs of boost max for a few minutes and then it dropped to zero. I checked all of my piping and then the turbo. I turned the car on and revved the engine while watching the turbine. It didn't move at all! I let the turbo cool down and touched the turbine and it rocked back and forth like it was going to fall off. So my car is parked and waiting for a new turbo. It will be up and running in a couple days. Even at 2 lbs. my car pulled so hard I didn't even notice VTEC kick in (except that the tires broke loose) because I had so much low end power. I can't wait for 7 lbs. Im just glad I figured out why my car was slower than before. It really had me worried.

 

how does a broken turbo build two pounds of boost?

 

At first, the turbo would build 2 psi...then it went to 0. The more I drive it, the looser the turbine gets, making it harder to spin and easier to get stuck. Now it won't even turn because it is so loose. So when I first put it in, it was able to build 2 psi, but it wasnt long before the turbine got stuck.
