Default Resetting your headlights factory position??

yep, as some of you noticed, i just purchased a 97 prelude ss, now, the problem is as follows: I drove at night the day i got it and the left headlight assembly is off, meaning is beaming upwards and it is blinding some people when i am like 5-10 feet away from the car in front of me.

What do you recommend me do, i need to set this back again to normal, and also, i screwed up big time. I was installing the short ram, and the code for the radio is gone. Shoud under the fuse box code be there? Thanks a lot.

one way to adjust the headlights is to park ten to twelve feet from a wall and adjust the headlight that is off. for example before adjustment it would look like this.
-------______

then adjust the other up/down to make them look like this.
---------------

its probably not "by the book" to do it like this, but it works.

also about the radio code, i'm pretty sure the dealer can pull it up using your vin number. i'm not 100% positive on that though.

What! That's crap. I just called and told them my radio serial # and they gave me the code over the phone. If they try to charge you, IM me and I will give you the # of my local honda dealership, then you can call them and they will give it to you for free.

see my post above. it looks as though you understood the part about the wall, now do the same thing. once your there loosen the bolts that hold the headlight housing, or if there is an adjustment bolt (never done it on a 5th gen) use that. anyway position the headlight so the beams are even, tighten everything back up and your done. its really pretty straight forward.

hold it dude, i understand that part, done many times on other cars, but the image below is of the bolts on the car and i turned them both and nothing...

Let me know if you have any other suggestions or should i just take out the whole headlamp and adjust it with ease ?

I also heard that once you **** up your factory adjustments, you are never going to get the same effect of driving and seating adjustment the factory settings provide...

cause they adjust really slowly. drive up to a wall and adjust.... just keep on turning them. there should be 2 or 4. 2 of them adjust up and down (for high beam and low) and the other 2 adjust left and right.
