What size are the stock wheels on a si? 14 inches
What size are HX rims? 14 inches
Why wouldn't they fit?

But seriously. All 92 and 93 hatches share the same front rotor size as all other Civics, so anything 13inch and over will fit.
In 94 and 94, ABS was an option, which had bigger front brakes then the other non ABS Civics.
I have a 94 Si without ABS and I run HX rims and have had VX on the front

Re: HX rims on 92-95 Si? (INVALID)
For those of you with 95 EX Coupes that want to mount HX wheels, you will for sure have to grind on the caliper, even if you don't have ABS. My car was like this. I wouldn't even be able to fit VX wheels over my brake rotors.
BTW, just because both steelies and HX's are 14 doesn't mean ****. If you've tried to put an HX wheel on the front of a 95 coupe, you'll find that it's not the outer diamater of your rotor that's too big, it's the fact that the spokes of the wheel curve inward on the back side, effectively changing the "offset" of the wheel as it gets further towards the outside of the rim. This is the only place it will actually rub, so you have to shave down a small amount off of the vertical connector on the caliper.

Riddle me this Batman...
I have a non ABS 95 EX. One of my friends has a non ABS 93 EX. The HX's won't fit either without grinding...!?

The EX has bigger calipers like the GSR's.My buddy has GSR calipers on his 93 Si and he had to grind his calipers to make them fit. They should fit over the stock Si calipers just fine.

So the Si's have a smaller caliper all the way around (as in piston size and everything)?
Or is it just the "bar" that is on the EX/GSR caliper, that is absent from the Si calipers?

The rear brakes are the same size. The GSR/EX front caliper is larger than the Si far as piston size and caliper size. You cannot get just GSR front calipers and try to put them on the stock Si hub because they will not fit because of being a larger size.So when you try to upgrade to GSR's you have to get the whole hub assembly.
